You can set up Notifications in your Profile to alert you to various events occurring in the Market. To set up your Notifications, click on the Profile tab at the top of the page. Your Profile window will open. On the right hand side of that window click on Edit Profile. Your Edit Profile window will open. Click on the Notifications tab in that window and a Forum Notifications window will open. This is the window where you will indicate what type of notifications you want to receive and how often you want to receive them.
They should all indicate "Never" in the box under Email. The 2 you would be most interested in are the "New Thread" and "New Post" types. If you wish to be notified every time a New Thread is started (e.g. an item is listed "For Sale") then make a selection by clicking on the little down arrow in the box. Clicking on "instant" will instantly send you an email. A New Post will occur when there is activity relating to a particular item. You can decide if you want to be notified or not. I wouldn't pay attention to the other Types at this time.
